1966 saw the 10th anniversary of the Bronx and it was time for an upgrade of our most successful jacket. The modifications saw the innovative addition of a twin track front zip, previously unseen on any jacket. Another notable modification was the dual entry ‘tunnel’ pocket on the back which allowed the wearer to access his/her gloves or maps from the left or the right with ease. Favourite of the 59 Club, many wearers used the back pocket more inventively by inserting a daily newspaper for added insulation against the cold. The 440 was also the first jacket to feature the zippered sleeve pocket.

ツイン・トラック・ブロンクスは、当時のベストセラー、ブロンクスの発売から10年後の1966年に登場した、フロントにツイン・トラック・ジッパーを採用したブロンクスのアップデート・バージョンです。
ツイン・ジッパー仕様の前開きは、冬服のインナーの厚み分を調整し、全シーズンを通してぴったりしたフィットを実現します。
後部両脇に左右から手袋や地図が取り出せる「トンネル」ポケットが追加され、このジャケットで初めて袖にジッパー・ポケットが付けられました。
内ポケット、袖ポケット、後部両脇のトンネルポケットなど、全部で7つのジッパー・ポケットが設けられています。
有名な着用者としては、59クラブの創始者のビル・シャーゴールドと２代目代表のグレハム・ヒュレット、70年代のパンクの時代のジョーイ・ラモーン（ラモーンズ）、ジョーン・ジェットなどがいました。
