Last July, the actor Jason Momoa was in the mountains of Montana,
where he was completing a project. It was realized thanks to his
immense passion, which swept up many others.
Among the 34 Invited Builders at Born-Free 17, 9 were Japanese, including the winner of the People’s Champ award. Blessed with beautiful, sunny weather, Oak Canyon Park was packed with motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world on both days, and this season, the Japanese presence in the audience was more prominent than ever. In this special feature, we celebrate the spectacular custom bikes that took center stage on the world’s premier platform, as well as the master builders who created them.

This year’s second round of the American Vintage Competition Clubman Road Race (A.V.C.C.) was at the end of July at Fuji Speedway. The challenging 4.5 km course features a 1.5 km main straight—a rarity worldwide—and requires a different technique from Tsukuba Circuit.
