The Red Arrows Run took place on November 16 as a celebration of the 60th birthday of Keiichi Ochiai, the organizer of the Yellow Eagle Run. Ochiai has been a friend whom Katsutada Mano, Kei Henmi, Toru Nishiura, and Kanji Maehara have looked up to since they were in their teens, and they organized this memorable run as a way to pass the Harajuku biker aesthetic and a respect for its pioneers to the next generation.

In the 1950s, Honda sent its “Jinja Bukkaku” style out into the world and heralded the era of Japanese-made sports motorcycles. The “Jinja Bukkaku” bikes’ 2-cylinder parallel-twin engines continued to evolve into the 1960s, and Honda’s global presence became even stronger when it released the CB72 and CB77 supersports models. The success of Honda’s parallel-twin engine laid the foundation for Honda’s growth on the world stage, including its activity in the World Grand Prix and F1 racing, and the development of the 4-cylinder models that took the world by storm.
