Harley-Davidson has released numerous masterpieces over its 120-year history. Each model has its own passionate devotees, but even among readers of this magazine, the group of people obsessed with Harley-Davidson’s pre-war models is likely small. However, Kazuhiro Kudo, a painter working within this niche, has recently created quite a buzz. He carefully analyzed the stock Harley-Davidson paint used in the 1930s, and using the data he obtained, started a company, Enamels, to faithfully recreate it. Now, nearly a century later, the deep, lustrous colors that adorned Harley-Davidsons in the 1930s have been revived!

Hills Market, Kyushu’s leading custom show, operates under the catchphrase “Show & Buy, Sale” and was held for the fifth time this year. Though it formerly took place at Hotel Sekia, a resort hotel in Kyushu, this year’s event, which marked its 5th anniversary, was held at a new location: the West Japan General Exhibition Center in Kitakyushu. The show also expanded to include automobiles including hot rods and lowriders!
