昨年3月より、受注過多のため一時的に正規販売店様でのオーダーを停止しておりましたが、2025年9月より正式にオーダー受付を再開しております。
各店舗様、着数制限を設けての受付となりますので、予めご了承くださいませ。

Lewis Leathers 社長　Derek Harrisが６月２２日（日）、息を引き取りました。
彼はとても優しく、多くの人から愛され、かっこよくてとても魅力的な人でした。
彼は四六時中、Lewis Leathersやアート、音楽等、多くの事を語り、起きて直ぐに仕事の話になる事は日常茶飯事でした。彼の話す内容は全てにおいて詳細で生き生きとしていて、非常に繊細でした。それがルイスの歴史を守る基盤となっています。
私が彼の数々の功績を褒める度に、彼は、”私の事ではなく、ルイスレザーズが素晴らしいんだ。”と謙虚な姿勢こそが、彼のあらゆることへのアプローチの特徴でした。
Derekは1958年イングランド南海岸のイーストボーンで産まれましたが、10代の頃からロンドンへ毎週末通い、やがて1981年に移り住み今に至ります、ロンドンの歴史やパブのカルチャーも彼はリスペクトをしており、毎晩お気に入りのパブではエールビールを飲み、そこに集まる人達は職種や業種も分け隔てなく語り合い、パブジョークを言い合いえる場所は彼にとって一番の憩いの場でした。更に、1980年代に心の拠り所になった日本では沢山の素敵な人々との出会いがあり、今でも多くの友達がいます。

彼がLewis Leathersの社長になったのは今から23年前の2003年ですが、彼がルイスレザーズに出会ったのは60年代半ばで、子供の頃、新聞や雑誌の広告、更に近所ではロッカーズ達がバイクでレースをしているのを見ていて、”彼らはルイスレザーズを着ているに違いない”と幼心に思っていたそうです、更に10年後パンクの時代到来、The Clashがルイスレザーズを着ているのを見て、彼は直ぐにこのブランドには歴史があるだけでなく、今もなお”歴史を作っている。”ことを悟りました。彼が若くしてこの会社に辿り着いたのは、運命だったと思います。

私は、彼の功績を受け継ぎ、彼が残してくれた情熱を継承していくために、最善を尽くします。
Derekは私を心から信頼し、愛してくれました。それは私にとってのかけがえのない人生の奇跡を与えてくださいました。
心からデレックに語りかけます。私は、貴方に会ってから人生の全てが180度変わりました。ありがとう、そしてあなたの事はいつまでも忘れません。貴方が残してくれた偉大なブランド、Lewis Leathersを、最高のスタッフと共に守り、継承していく為に、全力を尽くします。
Lewis Leathersのブランドの多くのファンや関係者の皆様に心から感謝を申し上げると共に、デレックハリスの精神を引き継いでブランドを守り続けてまいります。

Lewis Leathers’ President Derek Harris passed away on Sunday, 22nd of June. He was a very kind, much loved, cool and very charming man who was always on the go, talking about Lewis Leathers, art, music, and so much more, and it was not unusual for him to wake up and immediately start talking about work. Everything he told us was detailed, vivid and extremely sensitive, and it is the basis for preserving Lewis’ history.
Whenever I complimented him on any one of his many triumphs, he would say, ‘It’s not about me, it’s Lewis Leathers’, and this humble attitude characterised his approach to everything.

Derek was born in Eastbourne in 1958, on the South Coast of England, but had been travelling to London every weekend since he was a teenager, eventually moving here in 1981, where he has lived ever since. The people who gathered at his local pubs, where he could talk and share pub jokes without any distinction of profession or background, were his most favourite places to relax and have fun. He also met many wonderful people in Japan, a place he adopted as a spiritual home in the 1980s, and still has many friends there.

He became president of Lewis Leathers on 2003, 23 years ago, but he first encountered Lewis Leathers in the mid-1960s, as a child, through newspaper and magazine advertisements and he also saw rockers racing motorcycles in the neighbourhood and realised that they must be wearing Lewis Leathers. Ten years later, when the punk era arrived, he saw The Clash wearing Lewis Leathers and immediately understood that this was a brand not only with a historical past, it was still ‘making history’. I think it was fate that led him to the company at an early age.

I will do my best to carry on the gift of his accomplishments, and continue the passion that he has left us. Derek trusted and loved me with all his heart. It has given me an irreplaceable miracle of life. Speaking here to Derek from my heart, I tell him that everything in my life has changed 180 degrees since I met you. Thank you and I will remember you forever. I will do my best to protect and carry on the great brand you left us, Lewis Leathers, with all the best staff.

I would like to thank the many fans of the Lewis Leathers brand and everyone involved, and I will continue to protect the brand in the spirit of Derek Harris.
